Collecting and Using Your Data
Types of Data Collected
- Health Data: With your permission, we access health data (steps, sleep, water intake, workouts, and related metrics) from Apple HealthKit. This data is used within Health Adventure to power game features, milestones, and personal progress. HealthKit data is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our cloud services for analytics or advertising, and is never sold. If you enable iCloud sync for app data, related progress may be stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's control.
- User Profile: Information such as nickname, avatar, language, and weight is stored locally on your device and/or in your iCloud account (if enabled).
- Game Progress: Your character stats, inventory, achievements, and other progress are stored locally and/or in your iCloud account (if enabled). In some cases, progress may also be backed up to our cloud database (see Cloud Services below).
- Anonymous Account Identifier: Health Adventure creates an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication so we can provide cloud features (for example water reminders and optional progress backup). This identifier is not your name or email address.
- Push Notification Data: If you enable reminders or notifications, we may store a push notification token (FCM/APNs), your reminder schedule, timezone, and locale so we can deliver notifications at the correct times.
- Subscription Data: If you subscribe to premium benefits, your subscription status and purchase history are managed by Apple's StoreKit. We do not collect or store your payment card information.
- Usage and Diagnostic Data: We may collect app usage events, device type, OS version, performance metrics, and crash logs to operate and improve Health Adventure.
- Advertising Data (when ads are enabled): Health Adventure may display third-party advertisements to free users. When ads are shown, advertising partners may collect or receive device information such as device type, advertising identifiers (where permitted), IP address, coarse location derived from IP, and interaction data (for example ad views and clicks) to deliver, measure, and improve ads. Active subscribers receive an ad-free experience and are not shown these ads. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising.
Cloud Services and Third-Party Providers
We use Google Firebase and related Google services to operate parts of Health Adventure, including:
- Firebase Authentication for anonymous sign-in
- Cloud Firestore for cloud-backed features such as water reminder settings, push tokens, remote app configuration, aggregate app statistics, and optional user progress backups
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- Firebase Analytics for anonymous product usage analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash and stability reporting
These services may process information such as device identifiers, anonymous user identifiers, usage events, crash reports, notification tokens, and the cloud feature data described above. This processing is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
When advertisements are enabled, we may also use third-party advertising networks or mediation partners (for example Google AdMob or similar providers). Those partners process data under their own privacy policies. Where required by law (such as App Tracking Transparency on iOS), we will request your permission before tracking you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
We also use Apple services such as HealthKit, CloudKit/iCloud (if you enable sync), Push Notifications, and StoreKit. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's privacy terms.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and personalize game features (character growth, dungeons, achievements, weekly missions, and related systems)
- To sync and restore progress where cloud or iCloud features are enabled
- To deliver water reminders and other notifications you enable
- To manage premium subscriptions through Apple
- To show advertisements to free users when ads are enabled, and to provide an ad-free experience to subscribers
- To improve Health Adventure, measure feature usage, and fix bugs
- To maintain security and prevent abuse of cloud features
Data Storage
- HealthKit source data remains under Apple Health permissions and is used by the app on your device as described above.
- Local app data is stored on your device. If you enable iCloud, some app data may also be stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your private iCloud account contents beyond what Apple's APIs provide to the app.
- Cloud feature data associated with your anonymous account (for example reminder settings, push tokens, and optional progress backups) is stored in Firebase/Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Subscription status is managed by Apple.
- Uninstalling Health Adventure deletes data stored locally on that device. It does not automatically delete iCloud data or cloud data tied to your anonymous account.
Data Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We share data with service providers only as needed to operate Health Adventure, including Google (Firebase/Analytics/Crashlytics/Cloud Messaging, and advertising partners when ads are enabled) and Apple (HealthKit, iCloud/CloudKit, Push Notifications, StoreKit).
- HealthKit data is never used for advertising and is not sold.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or integrity of users and the Service.
Your Rights and Choices
- You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
- You can disable notifications in iOS Settings or turn off reminder features in the app.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. An active subscription removes ads when ads are shown in the app.
- On iOS, you can manage tracking permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking when tracking prompts apply.
- You can delete local data by uninstalling Health Adventure, and you can manage iCloud app data through your Apple ID / iCloud settings.
- To request deletion of cloud data associated with your anonymous account (such as reminder settings, push tokens, or progress backups), contact us at the email below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
International Users - GDPR and CCPA
If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, California, or other regions with data protection laws, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address below. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable laws.
Children's Privacy
Health Adventure is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Health Adventure after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
